Types of Financial
Aid Available at Bowling Green Technical College

Federal Pell Grants are non-repayable federal grants based on the
student's calculated financial need. Amounts vary according to individual
student's level of financial need.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)
are non-repayable federal grants available to eligible recipients who demonstrate
exceptional financial need.

KY College Access Program Grants (KHEAA
CAP) are non-repayable state
grants. These are available to eligible recipients who demonstrate financial
need and complete the FAFSA while funds are available.

Federal Family Educational Loan
Program (FFELP) provides low interest loans to eligible students who
need additional assistance with educational expenses. Bowling Green
Technical College does not offer loans to students
automatically! Loans are available, but you must complete a Bowling Green Technical College
Student Loan Application after your FAFSA has been processed.
Loans must be repaid when you graduate or stop attending school at least
half time.

Federal College Work-Study Program (FCWS) provides
part-time employment to eligible students demonstrating financial need and having the appropriate
skills. Students are paid at a rate just above federal minimum wage.

KCTCS/Bowling Green Technical College
Campus Scholarships are available to students who meet
eligibility requirements and submit the Bowling
Green Technical College Campus Scholarship Application by
the announced deadline. Additional scholarship applications are
available in the Financial Aid Office from time to time. Check your
student email for announcements about scholarships and other financial aid
issues.

Kentucky Educational Excellence
Scholarships (KEES) are available to recent high school graduates who
earned KEES while in high school. Your KEES account is available at www.kheaa.com.
No application is necessary for KEES. It will be disbursed to you
automatically after you enroll in college.

Veterans Educational Benefits
(VA) are available to qualified students enrolled in VA approved programs
